Terms of service

Last updated 20 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms cover the use of Day, a learning platform for primary schools, and this website. Day is provided by Wasil Educational Technologies ("Wasil", "we"), Mudon, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Day is provided to schools. Each school's agreement with Wasil sets out the full terms between Wasil and that school. If that agreement and these terms differ, the school's agreement wins. These terms explain the main points for everyone who uses Day: school staff, children, and families who see homework through Wasil Connect.

2. Who can use Day

Day is available only to schools that use Wasil Hub. The school decides who has access: staff and children sign in with the accounts the school gives them through Wasil Hub, and the school decides each person's role. Please keep your sign-in to yourself, and tell your school if you think someone else has used it.

3. Day is in beta

Day is still being built and tested with a small number of schools. During the beta:

  • features may change, be added or be removed, and some things may not work as expected;
  • Day may sometimes be unavailable while we make changes or fix problems;
  • we will tell schools in advance about any change that affects how they use Day, wherever we can.

Please do not rely on Day as the only copy of anything important. Schools should keep their own copies of the materials they upload.

4. Using Day well

When you use Day, please do not:

  • upload anything you do not have the right to use, or anything unlawful, harmful or unsuitable for children;
  • try to see information you have not been given access to, or get around Day's security;
  • try to disrupt Day, overload it, or copy it;
  • use Day for anything other than teaching and learning at your school.

We may pause someone's access to protect children, other users or Day itself, and we will tell the school when we do.

5. Your school's materials

Lessons, files, quizzes and voice notes that school staff create or upload belong to the school, or to whoever owns them. The school gives Wasil permission to store, copy and show them only so that Day can work for that school, for example by making the copy of a slide deck that children page through. We do not use them for anything else, and we do not share them with other schools.

The school is responsible for making sure it has the right to use what it uploads.

6. Children and privacy

Children use Day through their school. Day keeps only what it needs, never keeps a score against a child's name, and has no advertising or tracking. Our privacy policy explains what Day keeps, who can see it, and how long it is kept.

7. Other services

Day works with other parts of the Wasil Suite, and with Google when a school chooses to use Google sign-in or Google Drive. Each of those services has its own terms.

8. Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Day running, safe and accurate. During the beta it is provided "as it is", without promises that it will always be available or free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, Wasil is not responsible for indirect losses, or for loss caused by materials or information that users put into Day. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit. A school's agreement with Wasil may set out different responsibilities, and that agreement wins.

9. Ending use

A school can stop using Day at any time. When it does, we delete the school's information in Day as its agreement with Wasil sets out. We may end the beta, giving schools reasonable notice and a way to take a copy of their own materials.

10. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and tell schools about any important change before it takes effect.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, as applied in the Emirate of Dubai.
